• Access to the Platform is provided through sign up, purchase and subscription model.
• Course and bundle purchases include access to the specified courses and community features for the specified time.
• Subscriptions provide access to both courses and community features for the duration of your active plan.
• You are responsible for maintaining accurate account and payment details.
• Access is personal and non-transferable; you must not share login details with others.
• In signing up for the free courses or purchasing courses or subscriptions, you will be added to the mailing list of Through the Unexpected. 

3. Course Participation

• Courses are designed for professional development purposes.

• Completion may provide a certificate of participation or completion, but does not equate to formal academic credit.

• Course materials remain the intellectual property of Through the Unexpected and must not be copied, distributed, or reproduced without permission.

4. Community and Networking Features

• The Platform includes opportunities for discussion, networking, and resource-sharing among members.

• You agree to engage respectfully, maintaining professional conduct at all times.

• You must not post offensive, discriminatory, or unlawful content.

• Any sensitive or personal information shared by other members must be treated confidentially.

• We reserve the right to moderate, edit, or remove content that breaches these expectations, and to suspend accounts where necessary.

5. Privacy and Data Protection

• We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, compliant with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

• By subscribing, you consent to collection and use of your data for enrolment management, issuing certificates, maintaining community features, and improving the Platform.

• The Platform is delivered through LearnWorlds, which also processes your data under its own privacy and security policies.

6. Payments, Renewals, and Cancellations

• Subscription fees are payable in advance and stated in Australian Dollars (AUD) unless otherwise noted.

• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.

• You may cancel your subscription at any time; access will continue until the end of the billing period.

• Refunds are provided only as required by the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) (e.g., where services are not delivered as described). Change-of-mind refunds are not offered once access has been granted.

7. Consumer Rights

• Nothing in these Terms excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

• If a Course or Service is not as described, or is faulty, you are entitled to a remedy (repair, replacement, or refund, as applicable).

8. Availability and Changes

• While we aim to provide continuous access, temporary disruptions may occur due to platform maintenance or external factors.

• We may update, improve, or retire content and features at any time to maintain accuracy and relevance.

9. Limitation of Liability

• To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss from your participation.

• We do not guarantee specific learning outcomes or networking results.

10. Amendments

We may update these Terms from time to time. The revised Terms will apply from the date of publication on the Platform.
